Natan Sharansky
Is a Jew who made it out of Russia. He was a political subversive who made claims about the fundamental rights of man and got aggravation for his pains. He even published a book extolling democracy and freedom of speech. Having escaped from Russia he went into politics in Palestine, the Stolen Land which the occupiers call Israel. He then became one of the more vicious oppressors. Bush the President of America awarded him a medal after reading his book. Whether Bush knows about his track record of evil is another matter. Given that he is surrounded by Israelis in the White House, it is not entirely likely. Here are some sources regarding his criminal contacts, insolence and hypocrisy.

His book The Case For Democracy: The Power of Freedom to Overcome Tyranny and Terror, cowritten with Ron Dermer, was a "must read" on the Embassy Row. It had a major influence on the United States president George W. Bush and other government officials, who urged their subordinates to read the book:In it, Sharansky argues that freedom is essential for security and prosperity, and every people [ apart from Palestinians - Editor ] and nation deserve to live free in a democratic society. Suggesting his "town square test", Sharansky argues that human rights, safety and stability can only be assured by releasing people from their oppressors [ unless the oppressors are Israelis - Editor ] and turn them into free societies when each would have the freedom to express his opinion. Therefore, he concludes, the free world must insist of promoting democracy for the oppressed people [ but not for Palestinians - Editor ], instead of appeasing dictatorships [ unless they are Israeli - Editor ] and doing business with tyrant regimes [ unless they are Israeli - Editor ],
Sharansky takes what many of his critics call a hardline position towards the Palestinians [ Adolf was a hard liner too - Editor ], arguing that there can never be peace between Israel and the Palestinians until the latter rid their society of terrorist groups like Hamas and of anti-Semitism. His critics see an incompatibility between his ardent Zionism and his commitment to the struggle for universal human rights and democracy.

Russian-Jewish Mafia Boss Arrested
QUOTE
London "Telegraph." June 7, 1997.Israeli ambitions of 'Mafia boss' By Anton La Guardia in Jerusalem
An alleged boss of the Russian mafia, under arrest in Israel on charges of murder and fraud, is suspected of trying to buy political influence and even seeking to be appointed an Israeli government minister.
Grigory Lerner, a multi-millionaire businessman who took the Hebrew name of Tzi Ben-Ari, has been held for nearly a month. The charges include defrauding Russian banks of more than $75 million, organising the murder of a Russian banker and attempting to murder others, and falsifying his documents to obtain Israeli citizenship.
The Hebrew daily "Yediot Ahronot" reported yesterday that police had tapped phone conversations in which Lerner said he planned to run in the Likud Party's primaries, become an MP at the next elections and be appointed a cabinet minister. Lerner's arrest is bringing to light evidence that members of Russian criminal gangs are trying to obtain political influence. In 1995, police issued a warning that the Russian mafia was trying to infiltrate Israel's political system.
The police charges against Lerner are the most serious assault so far on Russian organised criminals, who are thought to use Israel as a base for laundering illegal funds. Lerner was known in Russian immigrant circles as a generous benefactor.
Natan Sharansky, the Trade Minister...admitted that he received about $85,000 from Lerner in 1994 for a charity helping Russian immigrants.
Lerner, 46, emigrated to Israel in 1989. Two years later he was arrested in Switzerland at the request of the Russian police and extradited to Moscow, where he was acquitted of charges of fraud. Russian newspapers said he served two years in jail on similar charges in 1982.
When arrested last month, just before boarding a flight for America, Israeli police said Lerner had been carrying more than $50,000 in cash and two satellite telephones. In a series of raids, police seized about $400,000 in cash, an unlicensed rifle with telescopic sight, two forged passports and computer equipment. On Thursday, he was remanded in custody for a further five days.

Sharansky says Crucifixion is a Privilege - Sharansky tells it like it is
QUOTE
Nathan Sharansky's View of Jesus
"Crucifixion is a Privilege"
By ANTHONY GANCARSKI
...... So long-winded was Sharansky's response, in fact, that one could've missed him saying that "the crucifixion of Christ" was a "privilege."Mistakes happen, apparently, and Messiahs get offed. Sharansky, who thought Jonathan Pollard deserved to be freed, since he committed espionage not for an enemy but for one of America's many friends in the world, is entirely willing -- on a fund-raising trip to the US, no less! -- to write off the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth as a clerical error.
Sharansky, who in 1997 denied that such an entity as the "Russian mafia" existed........... makes light of the crucifixion of Christ in the United States.
May I remind Sharansky why that's a problem? The United States, nominally a Judeo-Christian nation, fortifies Israel in no small part because of the Christian Zionist assumption that such profligate aid buys certain Christians the best possible seats for the impending end times. A lucrative cottage industry, the US-Israel alliance, as everyone from Pat Robertson to Bill Kristol can attest........
If Bush had heard Sharansky, who accepted $85,000 in "charities" from Israeli convict Grigory Lerner [international embezzler, with ties to the apparently mythical Russian Mafia], downplay the significance of Christ's crucifixion by claiming that it's just another "privilege" due "the Chosen People", he may have choked on a pretzel.

Wakhansky is Yuzbashev's adviser in Israel and served as a liaison between him and Kleiner about four years ago. In the affidavit, Wakhansky maintains that when he proposed that Kleiner represent Russian mafia godfather Akop ("Papa") Yuzbashev as a private attorney, he did not disclose the man's real identity and presented his client as Roman Kromeriki. Although Wakhansky's testimony is totally inconsistent with what he told Ma'ariv during the preparations for the expose that was published two weeks ago, according to which Kleiner clearly knew that Kromeriki and Yuzbashev were the same man, the affidavit contains the first signed and detailed admission that Yuzbashev indeed used a phony identity during his stay in Israel after escaping from Russia. Moreover, the affidavit as well as Kleiner's remarks to Ma'ariv also show that Yuzbashev used a Georgian passport in his possession, and revealed his real identity only after it was exposed, and not at his own initiative. As for what Kleiner knew at the time, Wakhansky gave different versions orally and in the affidavit. Asked by Ma'ariv whether it is possible that Kleiner did not know that Kromeriki is Yuzbashev, Wakhansky said: "Bullshit." Papa's attempts and partial success in infiltrating Israeli economic and political power centers, as described in the Ma'ariv expose, included a large financial deal to set up a plant to manufacture alcoholic drinks in Russia and to purchase real estate together with the Israeli public company Si Hahzaqot. At the time, when we questioned Attorney Natan Yitzhaqi, the attorney of Si Hahzaqot Holdings' Director General Yitzhaq Shafer, we were told that Yuzbashev never presented himself as Roman Kromeriki and Attorney Yitzhaqi maintained that he was not familiar with the name. Wakhansky's current affidavit presents a different picture. Wakhansky claims in his affidavit that "Kleiner was presented with various letters sent by Si Hahzaqot in which (Yuzbashev) is referred to as Mr. Kromeriki Roman." This affidavit contradicts the statement of Attorney Yitzhaqi that he never heard the name Kromeriki mentioned in his meetings with Yuzbashev. But in the affidavit another name cropped up which has so far not been mentioned in the affair: MK Yury Stern of the Yisra'el Ba'aliya party. According to Wakhansky, Kleiner was also shown a letter from Stern in which Yuzbashev appears under the name Roman Kromeriki. Wakhansky did not specify the contents of the letter and did not say which ties existed between Stern and Yuzbashev, but it is clear that Stern also knew the name Roman Kromeriki. A Ma'ariv check showed that at the time, MK Stern headed an association called The Association of New Entrepreneurs, located at the Industrialists' Center in Tel Aviv, that he wanted affiliated to the Chambers of Commerce. The role of the association was to assist Russian businessmen in building economic ties with Israeli firms. MK Stern, who tried hard to help businessman Grigory Lerner buy a bank in Israel and even stood by him during the police investigations against him in Israel, told Ma'ariv: "Wakhansky spoke with me about somebody called Kromeriki, but not about somebody called Yuzbashev. I have never known Yuzbashev and I do not recall issuing a letter in which the name Kromeriki is mentioned. Anyway, Kromeriki, whom I knew from the Chambers of Commerce, never told me that he is Yuzbashev. I learned about that later following a television report about Yuzbashev." The Ma'ariv expose shows that Kleiner received his fee as Yuzbashev's attorney in an envelope containing dollars in cash given to him by Yuzbashev's bodyguard. When he was asked about that by Ma'ariv, Kleiner said that he cannot say in what currency he received the money, but insisted that he issued a receipt for it as required by law and was even prepared to present evidence of that. In a meeting he held with Ma'ariv's attorney, Kleiner claimed that the report implied that he had received undeclared funds in exchange for his involvement in the affair. "Kromeriki and I signed an agreement on fees due to me, according to which he was supposed to pay me at the start of the month the equivalent of $1,000 in shekels in addition to value added tax," Kleiner said. I never received envelopes containing dollars from him. I received envelopes containing checks for my fee. I also never laundered a passport for Kromeriki. He wanted to give his driver power of attorney to take his car out of Israel. He had to have the signature notarized and since I am not a notary I sent him to my partner. At that stage I called my client only Roman Ya'aqov Kromeriki. Senior sources in the State Prosecutor's Office told Ma'ariv that Commander Moshe Mizrahi of the Serious Crimes Unit, has received full backing to conduct a thorough investigation into the affair despite the involvement of political figures. "We did not permit any intervention in the police investigation into the Grigory Lerner affair although there was a need to summon political figures for investigation on suspicion of having been involved in some way. We will not prevent the police from doing everything necessary to investigate the Yuzbashev affair." At the time this article went to print, MK Kleiner had not been summoned for police questioning.
